Datoma is an online marketplace and cloud computing solution for analysing high-performance data. With a mission to inspire scientific discovery by connecting experimental science and open source developers, Datoma offers scientists a fast, simple and professional way to analyse high-performance data, while giving code developers the opportunity to make a living from their code.
Our approach to Datoma's brand identity began with the recognition that, although Datoma was originally intended to focus on omics research, it aims to expand into all scientific fields. This led us to search for an abstract language that could represent biology, chemistry and physics. This was found by transforming the letter D into symbols that can be interpreted as a flower or an atom, and also represents the idea of collaboration and expansion of knowledge.
